Master of Public Health

Formal Public Health Education and training will allow professionals to understand the health challenges in the country and act on them. These professionals can then become involved in conducting health research, developing health policy and organizing health systems that will benefit the peoples’ health and the country. They could get jobs at administrative and managerial levels in health organizations of Government, Private, NGO’s and International agencies like WHO and UNICEF. They are also employed in health research agencies and academic institutions of public health.

Duration: 2 Years


Undergraduate degree in life sciences / Clinical Sciences / Social sciences from a recognized University with at least 50% marks.

Public Health professionals focus on the 4 P’s of public health: Prevention, Promotion, Protection, and Population-based care, and supports society by providing information about the disease pattern and strengthening the skills of a wide variety of fields within the public health system.
Public health careers are incredibly varied, but come down to one key tenet: protecting the health of the population. Public health programs exist at the community, national, and global levels. The cornerstone of public health is the field of epidemiology, which is the study of patterns of infection and disease in a population. As a Public health professional, there are bachelor -, masters- and PhD. They may work in food-borne infection outbreaks, emerging infectious diseases, or even environmental health.

Field exposure and research are potential components in Public Health education. Considering the need, students will be in the field during the Second and fourth semesters.

  • Above 90% or above 9 CGPA will be awarded 25% of the Tuition Fee
  • Above 80%-89% or 8 - 9 CGPA will be awarded 15% of the Tuition Fee
