Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Social work as a profession from its very inception has been concerned with the promotion of the well-being of people assisting them at individual, group, and community levels to fulfill their unmet/felt needs and find the solutions to the problems which inhibit them to lead a meaningful and satisfying life in the society. The profession is especially concerned with the advancement of economic interest of the people with social justice and at the same time it helps to seek a deeper source of happiness i.e. self-realization. Social workers view people and their environment as integrally intertwined and interdependent.

Duration: 3 Years


Intermediate/10+2 or its equivalent examination with an aggregate of 45% marks from a recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/ SSCE/ HSCE/ NIOS or other equivalent board or Intermediate and should attain 17 Years as on 31st December 2021.

To groom the youth to become professionals and change agent social workers not only work with individuals to effect personal changes, but also share a commitment to working towards changes in institutions and society. The profession is committed to encourage people to take a broad view of the issues and challenges confronting any person, group or their organization and thus places emphasis on taking a holistic view of human life.

  • 95% and above will be awarded 25% of Tuition Fee and
  • 85% -94% will be awarded 15% of Tuition Fee
